Ayşen Ciravoğlu (Head of the Jury)
Prof. Dr., Yıldız Technical University
Ayşen Ciravoğlu is a full time Professor enrolled in research and educational activities in both graduate and undergraduate levels in the fileds of architectural education, sustainable architecture, architectural design, environmental issues and critics on architecture in Yıldız Technical University Faculty of Architecture. Ciravoğlu is a council member of UIA (Union of International Architects). She is the editor of MEGARON, an e- journal of Yıldız Technical University Faculty of Architecture and is in editorial board of both Mimarlık and mimar.ist journals issued by Chamber of Architects of Turkey. She had been member of executive boards of CAT (Chamber of Architects of Turkey), MİAK (Architectural Accrediting Board of Turkey), MİMED (Association for Architectural Education), MİV (Foundation for Architecture), Istanbul Branch of the Chamber of Architects of Turkey and ICUS (International Centre for Urban Studies). Ciravoğlu has won EAAE (European Association for Architectural Education) Prize in 2002 with her article entitled “On Formal and Informal Studies in Architectural Design Education”.
Ömer Selçuk Baz
Architect, Yalın Architecture
He was born in 1978 in Nuremberg, Germany. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Antakya. After completing his undergraduate education at Bursa Uludağ University in 2002, he started his graduate studies at Vienna Technical University. He won awards in various national and international competitions during his student years. In parallel with his graduate studies, he participated in various architectural projects, mainly housing and shopping malls, at Atelier Stelzhammer in Vienna. He started to actively practice architecture in Turkey by winning the 1st prize in the Bursa Branch competition of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey in 2005. He ran a studio in the Master's programs of Istanbul Kültür University and Bilgi University. He served as a jury member in various competitions and award organizations on a national scale. The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (1st prize), Troy Museum (1st prize), Riyad Mosque (1st prize), Cappadocia Museum, Zonguldak Caves Visitor Center, Korean War Memorial Area and Visitor Center (1st prize) are the main projects produced by the Yalın Architecture team. He has been continuing his work under the roof of Yalın Architecture since 2011, which he founded with his urban planner partner Okan Bal.
Bohdan Biś Lisowski
Architect, Association of Polish Architects
Graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at Cracow University of Technology, Scholarship at Bauhaus University Weimar, IUAV Venice, ETH Zurich. Academic teacher and lecturer. President of Association of Polish Architects (SARP) Krakow Branch (2013-2019), President of SARP (2019-2022), UIA Council Member Region II (2021-2022), President of Polish Council of Architecture. Involved with SARP since 1999. His main goal was to attract young members to the Association. Co-organised exhibitions on the Polish architecture, including one presented next to the European Parliament in Brussels (2014). Also, the organiser of the International Biennale of Architecture (MBA) in Krakow 2015, 2017 and 2019. Owner of Biś Computers (Autodesk ATC, AAP, ACC) providing CAD and BIM training and ICDL and Autodesk certification. Great experience with CAD and BIM tools. Member of the Association of Art Historians, the Polish Computer Society, Social Committee for Renovation of Krakow Monuments, and the Council of the National Museum in Krakow.
Antonio Raffaele Riverso
Prof. International Academy of Architecture
Architect Antonio Riverso graduated from the Politecnico di Torino Faculty of Architecture in 1972. He was granted a professorship by the International Academy of Architecture. He is the associate owner of a technical studio and designer of Architectures Restoration and Planning. He is particularly interested in the design and restoration of hotels, churches and schools as well as in the design of many building episodes within the everyday life of the urban scale. He was the president of Regione Calabria Federazione degli Ordini degli Architetti (1999-2004), Italian Delegate to UMAR (Union Mediterraneè des Architects) in Malta (2004-2010), Head of Italian Delegation of Architects Council of Europe in Bruxelles (2005-2009), Vice President of the World Council of the International Union of Architects (2011-2014), Honorary V. Président in UIA/ARES (Architecture and Renewable Energy Sources). He contributed to the drafting of the Document on the concept of "Beauty" to be included in the Constitution of the Italian Republic. He was the president and member of many international juries in architecture and urban planning competitions and a speaker at many national and international conferences.
Alper Gülle
MSc. Architect, Antalya Bilim University
Alper Gülle is a full-time lecturer at Antalya Bilim University, where he is actively involved in both teaching and research in the field of architecture. He completed his undergraduate studies in 2013, graduating from the Department of Architecture at Eskişehir Anadolu University. His education during this period laid the groundwork for his growing interest in the theoretical and practical dimensions of architectural design. Between 2016 and 2018, he worked as a designer in the design office of Anadolu University, contributing to the development and execution of various design and construction projects. This professional experience allowed him to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world architectural practice, refining his conceptual, technical design, and project coordination skills. Simultaneously, he pursued his graduate studies, receiving a master’s degree in Building Science from Anadolu University in 2018. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate in the Architectural Design program at İstanbul Technical University. His doctoral research focuses on the complex relationship between cognitive processes and representational mechanisms in architectural design. Through this work, he seeks to explore how cognitive frameworks influence creative thinking and decision-making in design, as well as the role of representational media in shaping architectural ideas and solutions. His research aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the mental and visual processes that underlie architectural design practice. He has been enrolled in academic and professional activities that are centered on architectural design and theory, design education, and representation in architectural design, particularly interested in fostering critical thinking and creativity in design studios, encouraging designers to explore the interplay between conceptual ideas and representational media.

Sadık Gökhan Ekinci
Dr. Architect, Akdeniz University
Sadık Gökhan Ekinci is an architect and a full-time lecturer at Akdeniz University. His research and work focus on architectural design, architectural competitions, building code regulations, and the theorypractice conflict in architectural design. He completed his undergraduate degree at Middle East Technical University in 2011, a master’s degree at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in 2015, and a Ph.D. at Akdeniz University in 2024. In addition to his academic background, he has participated in and won several prizes in international, national, and regional competitions, where he strives to minimize the conflict between theory and practice in architectural design.
Ekrem Bahadır Çalışkan
Asst. Prof. Dr. Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University
Ekrem Bahadır ÇALIŞKAN received his bachelor's, master's (in architectural acoustics), and PhD degrees from the Faculty of Architecture at Middle East Technical University. Since 2007, he has completed many national and international projects. Architectural portfolio is particularly composed of the university campuses and higher education facilities. In addition to his professional practice, he has participated as a part-time instructor in design studio and construction courses at various universities. Since 2021, he has been working as a faculty member in the Department of Architecture at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and taking role in construction project as designer and consultant. His academic research focuses on machine learning, the application of artificial intelligence in architectural practice, and requirement and knowledge management in the construction industry.
